This is one of my fall favorites and one of my best ice cream creations. I use Apple butter made from fresh apples.
Ingredients
Ice cream base (Salt and Straw base and apple butter)
- 1 1/4 cup whole milk
- 2 Tbsp light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp dry milk
- 1/4 tsp xanthan gum
- 1 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup apple butter
Crisp
- 1/2 cup instant oats
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Salted caramel
- Recipe from salt and straw
Instructions
- Make base and mix in apple butter, chill until cold
- Prepare oat crisp topping, bake at 350 for 5-10 min, watching closely, it burns easily
- Prepare salted caramel sauce
